Brussels sprouts Poriyal


Every time my kid sees this Brussels sprouts, he used to call it as small cabbage.  His words inspired me to cook Brussels sprouts poriyal. Followed the steps same as cabbage poriyal. This Poriyal can be served as a side dish to Rice or Chappathi. Check below for  for detailed steps and instructions for preparing Brussels sprouts stir fry.







Preparation Time:      5 mins
Cook Time :                20 mins
Ready in :                   25 mins
Yields :                        2 Servings 

Ingredients:
Brussels sprouts
10
Onions chopped
1/2 Cup
Oil
1 tbsp
Mustard
1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds
1/2 tsp
Curry leaves
2
Urad dhal
1/2 tsp
Channa dhal
1/2 tsp
Salt

Green chillies
1
Coriander powder
1 tsp
Chilli powder
1 tsp
Coriander Leaves chopped
1 stick



 Instructions:
  • Wash and quartered Brussels sprouts. Cook in water till they become soft and tender.

  •  Heat oil in the pan and add mustard, cumin seeds, Urad dhal and channa dhal.

  • When channa dhal turn golden colour, add curry leaves, green chillies and onion. Fry till onion turn translucent.



  • Add Brussels sprouts, coriander powder, chilli powder and salt. Switch of the stove and garnish with coriander leaves .

Tips:
  • The essential nutrients will lose, if we wash the chopped vegetables, so Wash the vegetable thoroughly then chop into small pieces.
  • Adjust chilli to your taste.
