Last week we shifted to new house. I was quite busy with unpacking and arranging things. So couldn't concentrate in Nalabagam. Today I am sharing an authentic recipe from Tamil Nadu - Vendakkai Mandi.  Lady's finger is rich in dietary fibers, minerals and vitamins. It is a low calorie vegetable and one of the suggested vegetable for weight reduction. Mandi is nothing, but water got by washing rice. Taro root is also known as Colocasia, Arbi, Seppankizhangu, Chembu-kizhangu, chamagadda or chaamadumpa in various parts of India. Taro root is low in fats and proteins. It has reasonable amount of essential minerals like iron, copper, zinc, potassium and manganese. Always buy fresh, firm and medium sized vegetable. Avoid vegetable with cracks, soft spots.
