My little one usually asks recipes which doesn't exist like black rice, blue rice so that he can escape from having food. Similarly last week, when I asked him, whether can I prepare chapati for dinner. He asked for sweet chapati. That's how this recipe is coined. An easy and quick sweet with less ingredients. Ingredients:
Chapati Flour / Atta

11/4 Cups
|
Oil / Ghee
|
10 tsp
|
Jaggery
|
3/4 Cup
|
Cardamom powder
|
1/4 tsp
|
Salt
|
Instructions:
- Take 1/4 Cup water in thick bottomed vessel. Add jaggery and allow it to boil till jaggery melts and form a sugar syrup. Strain and add it to chappathi flour.
- Make a soft dough by adding chapati flour, jaggery, cardamom powder and salt. Knead well
- Take a fraction of a dough and make a ball the size of gooseberry. Flatten the balls to 5-7 inches in diameter using rolling pin.
- Heat dosa tawa and place the flatten dough ball. Drizzle 1/2 tsp of ghee or oil if needed. Cook till golden spots appear on some places. Turn and drizzle 1/2 tsp of oil. cook until golden spots appear on the other side also. Repeat the process for remaining flatten dough balls.
