Mullai Keerai Thuvaram paruppu kootu






This dish Thotakura pappu is made with amarnath leaves and toor dhal grinded with indian spices. Mullai keerai is rich in vitamins, iron and calcium. It can be served as a side dish to Rice.


Mullai Keerai kootu / Amarnath Leaves Toor Dhal / Mulla Keerai Thuvaram paruppu kootu


Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 20 mins 
Ready In: 30 mins
Yields : Side dish for Rice  for 2 people

Ingredients:
Table 1:
Toor Dhal
2 tbsp
Coconut 
2 tbsp
Garlic cloves
Shallots chopped
1/4 cup
Cumin seeds
1/2 tsp
Curry leaves
4
Coriander leaves
1 stalk
Red chillies
2


Table 2:
Amarnath leaves  chopped
1/2 Cup
Oil
1 tbsp
Mustard
1/8 tsp
water
1 cup
Salt



Instructions:
  • Coarsely grind all the ingredients from table 1. 
  • Heat oil in the pan and add mustard.When they splutter add green leaves and saute for 2 mins. 
  • Add the ground mixture got from table 1. Saute it for 2 more mins in medium flame.
  • Add 1 cup of water and cook it in medium flame till the raw smell goes off.
