Paneer, Indian cottage cheese is prepared by curdling milk with lemon juice. Paneer is one of the favourite ingredient not only for kids but also for elders. chilli paneer is a Indo-chinese appetizer. It is prepared by frying paneer to golden brown. Then onions, capsicum are fried and various sauces are added and cooked with paneer. It makes an excellent starter and a side dish to Pulao, fried rice. Table 1: 
For shallow Fry
Paneer pieces

Table 2: 
2 tbsp
Garlic cloves finely chopped
1 tsp
Ginger finely chopped
1 tsp
Green chilly finely chopped
Onion cut into 1 inch squares
1/4 Cup
Capsicum cut into 1 inch squares
1/4 Cup
Red chilly sauce
1 tbsp
Soy sauce
1 tsp
As needed

  • Heat Oil in a pan. Shallow fry till paneer turns golden brown colour.

  •  Heat Oil in a pan. Add finely chopped ginger, finely chopped garlic and finely chopped green chilly. Fry till raw smell goes off.

  •  Add onions and fry till they turn translucent. Add capsicum and fry for 2 mins in medium flame.

  •  Add paneer  followed by salt, soy sauce and red chilly sauce. Fry for 2 mins and mix till all the sauces are coated well. Garnish with green onions.
