Tri Colour Pulao

Tri colour Pulao

Tri colour Pulao is prepared by cooking carrots, green peas and corn together with Basmati Rice. What a colour combination?  Green, yellow and orange. A feast to eyes. It will surely attracts Kids. Packed with healthy ingredients, easy to make and more over it is a one pot meal. Please check below for easy and quick Tri colour Pulao

Ready In:                             25 mins
Yields :                                  Main course for 3 People

Ingredients:
Basmati Rice
1.5 Cups
Oil
2 tbsp
Veggies
carrot Julienned
Frozen peas thawed
Frozen corn thawed
1.5 Cups
Cinnamon stick
small
Cloves
2
Anistar 
Half
Fennel seeds
1.5 tsp
Ginger and Garlic finely chopped
1.5 tbsp
Onions chopped lengthwise
1/2 Cup
Green chillies
2
Salt

Roasted cashews
2 tbsp



Instructions:
  • Soak Basmati rice for 1 hour or as per instructions given in rice bag
  • Heat 1.5 tbsp of Oil in the cooker. Add cinnamon, cloves,cardamom, anistar and fennel seeds.After 2 mins add green chillies, ginger and garlic. Fry till raw smell goes off. 


  • Add carrots, peas and corn. Fry for 2 mins.

  •  Add salt, basmati rice and 3 Cups water. For exact water measurement check your basmati rice bag.  Pressure cook for 3 whistles

  • Heat 1/2 tbsp of Oil in pan. Add onions and fry till they translucent. Garnish pulao with fried onions and roasted cashews.

  • Enjoy Tri colour pulao .

Tips:
Fresh ginger and garlic can be replaced by ginger garlic paste.
