Green Peas Semiya






Green Peas Semiya is a easy and quick breakfast. Green peas cooked with vermicelli and Indian spices makes it spicy and delicious recipe. Please check below for step-wise pictures and instructions for easy and quick Green Peas Semiya. 








Preparation Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 10 mins 
Ready In: 15 mins 
Yields: 2 Servings

Ingredients:
Roasted Vermicelli1 Cup
Oil2 tbsp
Mustard1/4 tsp
Onions chopped  lengthwise  1/2 Cup
Green Chillies2
Curry leaves4
Tomato chopped1/4 Cup
Frozen Green peas thawed          1/4 Cup
Salt
Coriander Leaves2 stalks


To Grind:
Green chillies                                  2
Ginger chopped1 tbsp
Garlic chopped1 tbsp
Fennel Seeds1 tsp






Instructions:
  • Grind all the ingredients given under "To Grind" table.
  • Heat oil in the pan and add mustard. When they splutter, add onions and curry leaves. Fry till onions turn translucent.

  • Add chopped tomatoes and fry till they turn mushy.  Add green peas and fry for 2 mins.




  •  Add grind-ed mixture followed by coriander leaves. Fry till raw smell goes off.


  •  Now add 2 cups of water and salt. When water boils add roasted vermicelli and cook for few minutes till water is absorbed. 


Tips:
If Roasted Vermicelli is not available, then roast ordinary vermicelli to golden colour in one tbsp of Oil before cooking.
