Ingredients:
Black/Brown Chana dal

Onions chopped

1/2 cup

Oil

2 tbsp

Mustard
|
1/4 tsp

Green Chilly
|

Red chillies
|

Channa dal
|
1 tsp
|
Urad dal
|
1 tsp
|
Ginger finely chopped
|
1 tsp
|
Curry leaves
|
4
|
Shredded coconut
|
2 tbsp
|
Salt

Coriander Leaves
|
For Garnishing
|
- Heat oil in the pan and add mustard, red chilly and curry leaves.When mustard splutter, add channa dal,urad dal and Ginger. Fry till chana dal turns golden colour. Add chopped onions, green chilly cut lengthwise and fry it till they turn translucent.
- Add cooked channa and salt. Fry for a min. Switch off the stove. Add shredded coconut and coriander leaves.
Tips:
Avoid onions and follow remaining steps, when cooking for Vinayagar chaturthi and Navarathri Festivals.Adjust chillies to your taste.
