Mint Coriander Raita


Mint Coriander Raita is a yogurt based accompaniment. It is usually served as a side dish to Pulav, biryani or with Indian starters. It is more refreshing and quick dish and goes well with  Biryani especially . Please check below for step by step instructions and pictures for preparing Pudina Kothamalli Thayir Pachadi

Ingredients:
Table 1 : To Grind
Mint Leaves tightly packed 
1/8  Cup
Coriander Leaves tightly packed 
1/6 Cup
Yogurt/Curd
2 tbsp
Green Chilly
1


Table 2 : 
Yogurt/ Curd                                    
1/2  Cup
Cumin powder
1/4 tsp
Salt


Instructions:
  • Grind all the ingredients( Mint Leaves, coriander leaves, yogurt and green chilly) mentioned in table 1 to a smooth paste.


  • Whisk yogurt in a bowl. Add salt and cumin powder. Add grind-ed mixture and mix well. chill and serve with biryani.


Tips:

  • Some people prefer less mint taste in raita. Add the grind-ed mixture little by little to the yogurt  and check the taste. 
  • Variation can be done by adding 1/2 tsp of chaat masala
  • Adjust green chilly to your taste.
  • Don't add stalks of mint. Add only mint leaves.
