Cauliflower Pepper Fry
Cauliflower belongs to the family Brassicaceae. Cauliflower contains anti-cancer chemicals and rich in dietary fibres, vitamin C and essential minerals. Always choose white creamy heavy flower. Avoid cauliflower with dark colored patches and bruised surface. Cauliflower pepper fry is a South Indian recipe served as a side dish to Rice. Yields :                         2 Servings

Ingredients:
Oil
2 tsp
Ginger and garlic chopped 
1 tbsp
Mustard
1/4 tsp
Curry Leaves
4-6
Onions chopped
1/2 Cup
Cauliflower small florets
20
Salt

Turmeric powder
1/4 tsp
Pepper powder
1.5 tsp
Coriander leaves
3 stalks

Cauliflower Pepper Fry




Instructions:
  • Cut cauliflower into small florets. Soak in boiling water for 5 mins to remove germs.Heat Oil in a pan and add mustard. When mustard splutter, add ginger, garlic and curry leaves.  Fry till raw smell goes off.
 

  •  Add onions.Fry till onions turn translucent. Add cauliflower and fry for  2 mins. Cauliflower will leave enough water to get cooked. 

  • Add turmeric powder, pepper powder and salt . Once all the water is absorbed, check whether cauliflower is cooked, If else fry for 2-3 mins in medium flame. Garnish with coriander leaves.


Tips:
Ginger and garlic can be replaced by ginger garlic paste
Adjust pepper to your taste.
