Cumin seeds is one of a popular spice in Indian Cuisine. Cumin seeds are excellent soure of Iron, necessary for proper digestion, nutrient assimilation and prevent caner. Jeera rice is a simple, quick and flavourful rice prepared by cooking basmati rice along with garam masala items and cumin seeds. Jeera rice is served in many restaurant as a main course. Cook Time: 20 mins
Yields: 2 Servings
Jeera Rice in Pressure Cooker

Ingredients:
Basmati Rice1 Cup
Oil | Ghee1 tbsp
Cumin seeds2 tsp
Cloves2
Cinnamon stick1 inch
Cardamom1
Salt1/2 tsp

Instructions:
Wash and Soak Basmati Rice for 20 mins. Strain the water and keep it ready. Heat Oil /ghee in pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon stick. Fry for a min. Add Basmati rice and salt. Fry for 2 mins. Add 2 cups of water or as per instruction given in rice bag. Close the lid and pressure cook for 2 -3 whistles.
