Ingredients:
Idli batter | 1 Cup |
Oil for greasing Idli plates | For Greasing |
Sambar | 1 Cup |
Finely chopped onions | For Garnishing |
Finely chopped coriander leaves | For Garnishing |
Instructions:
- Pour enough water required for cooking Idli in Idli vessel. Grease Idli plates with oil. Carefully pour the Idli batter on Idli plates and place the Idli plates inside vessel.
- Cook it in medium flame till you sense the smell of Idli .For newbies, to check whether Idli is cooked insert a tooth pick or spoon in middle of Idli.If it comes clean, then the Idli is cooked. Remove idli from plate.
- Pour Sambar in serving bowl. Dunk 14 idli in the sambar. Before serving, garnish with coriander leaves and finely chopped onions.
