Yields: 1/4 Cup
Ingredients:
Cumin seeds | 1 tbsp |
Coriander seeds | 1.5 tbsp |
Red Chillies | 6 |
Turmeric powder | 1/4 tsp |
Nutmeg powder | 1/4 tsp |
Garlic powder (Optional) | 2 tsp |
Dry Ginger (Optional) | small piece |
Cloves | 6 |
Cinnamon stick | 2 |
Green cardamom | 2 |
Kasoori Methi | 1 tsp |
Black pepper | 1/2 tsp |
Instructions:
Dry roast cumin seeds, coriander seeds, red chillies, black pepper separately and allow it cool. Grind it with remaining ingredients into coarse powder.
Tips:
Once cool down, Store this masala powder in air tight container for 6 weeks to 2 months.
Adding dry ginger and garlic powder is optional. Instead fresh ginger and garlic paste can be used while preparing tikka's.
