Moong dal Porridge
Yellow moong dal is light and easy to digest. Moong dal Porridge is an one pot meal. This is an oil-free recipe. During my school days,  my mom prepares it for Sunday breakfast when we have lot of cleaning work to do in home.  I have introduced this recipe to my little one when he was 10 months old. It is my toddler's and elder kid's favourite breakfast. It is an easy, quick and healthy breakfast. It can be prepared within 30 mins. Ready In: 25 mins
Yields : 4 Servings.
Moong dal Porridge | Pasi paruppu Kanji


Ingredients:
Rice
1 Cup
Moong dal | Pasi paruppu 
3/4 Cup
Turmeric powder
1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds
1 tbsp
Shredded coconut
2 tbsp
Freshly ground pepper
1 tbsp
Salt
As needed

Instructions:
  • Soak rice and moong dal for 15 mins. Add all the ingredients in the pressure cooker.

  •  Add 5 cups of water and pressure cook it for 4 whistles. Once cooked, add 2 cups of  hot  boiled water and mix it to get desired consistency.

  •  Before serving, add some freshly ground pepper.
