Open Butter Masala Dosa

Open Butter Masala Dosa My hubby is a big fan of Adigas Open Butter Masala Dosa. whenever we travel from Bangalore to Mysore, we pitstop at Adigas to relish this open butter masala dosa. I have tasted it many times in Bangalore in order to understand the ingredients and tried replicating it many times. Enjoy this open butter masala dosa with coconut chutney rather than sambarPlease check below for step wise instructions and pictures for preparing open butter masala dosa.



Preparation Time:     10 mins
Cook Time :                35 mins
Ready in :                   45 mins
Yields :                        4 Dosa
Open Butter Masala Dosa 3

Ingredients:
Oil
4 tsp   
Dosa batter                              
2 cups
4 tsp   
1 Cup   
Shredded coconut
1/4 Cup   
Shredded carrot
1/4 Cup   
Coriander leaves chopped
1/4 Cup   
Butter
4 tsp   

Instructions:
  • Heat dosa tava in medium flame. When dosa tava is hot, take half cup of  dosa batter and spread evenly starting from centre. Pour 1 tsp of Oil on dosa circumference.   When dosa is half cooked, spread  1 tsp of  red chutney and place 1/4 Cup of potato masala in centre of dosa. Close the dosa tava with lid. Cook for a minute.

  • Carefully remove the dosa from stove. Spread coconut, carrot and coriander leaves around potata masala. Top the potato masala with 1 tsp butter. Repeat the process for remaining dosa. Enjoy masala dosa with coconut chutney.

  2. I have been looking for a recipe similar to Adigas open butter masala dosa ever since I had it and this one looks so perfectly close to it that i am going to make it today itself!
