Some months back when we visited Anjappar in bay area, we ordered Paneer 65. My little one really loved it. Since then, I prepare this Paneer 65 very frequently in my home. Every-time I try to capture a picture, but somehow it was getting missed. Last week end I prepared this Paneer 65 as a evening snacks and took some clicks. Paneer 65 can be served as a appetizer / starter and also as a side dish to Pulao, Biryani . Please check below for step by step instructions and pictures for preparing South Indian version of Paneer 65.



Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 20 mins 
Ready In: 30 mins 
Yields: 2 Servings

Ingredients:
Oil For Deep Frying
Paneer cubes 1 Cup
All Purpose Flour | Maida 3 tbsp
Corn Flour 1 tbsp
Ginger Garlic paste 1 tbsp
Cumin powder 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Chilli powder 1.5 tsp
Black Pepper powder 1/2 tsp
Salt As needed
Lemon Juice 1 tsp
Orange Food Colour(Optional) Pinch

Instructions:
  • Add All-purpose flour, corn flour, ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, chilli powder, pepper powder,salt,lemon juice, food colour and enough water and prepare a thick batter.

  • Cut Paneer into small pieces. Coat paneer pieces  with batter.

  • Heat Oil for deep frying. When oil is hot, deep fry paneer pieces till it turns crisp.

  • Remove the excess oil by placing the deep fried paneer pieces in paper towel.

Tips:
Adjust chilli powder and pepper powder to your taste.
To check the hotness of oil for deep fry, drop a small batter.If it bubbles up, then the oil is hot.
Don't over crowd paneer pieces while deep frying.

  3. Its lovely, attractive and beautiful flavors.I hardly cook paneer but certainly will try with what is popular over here for replacement of paneer, the tofu. The fragrance of curry leaves is awesomely another thing which I can resist.
