Ingredients
Table 1: To dry roast and grind
Coriander seeds | Dhaniya | 2 tsp |
Cumin seeds | Seeragam | 1 tsp |
Fennel seeds | Sombu | 1 tsp |
Red chillies | 3 |
Black pepper | Milagu | 1 tsp |
Cloves | Krambu | 1 |
Cinnamon stick | Pattai | 1 inch |
Kasoori Methi crushed | 1/2 tsp |
Table 2:
Oil | 1 tbsp |
Ginger and garlic finely chopped | 1 tbsp |
Onions chopped | 1/2 Cup |
Capsicum chopped | 1/4 Cup |
Tomato paste | 1/4 Cup |
Paneer cubes | 20 |
Instructions:
- Dry roast all the ingredients mentioned in table 1 and grind it coarse powder.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add finely chopped ginger and garlic. Fry till raw smell goes off. Add onions and fry till they turn translucent.
- Add capsicum and fry for 2 mins. Add tomato paste and fry till raw smell goes off. Add 1/4 Cup water.
- Add the ground powder from ingredients in table 1. Add paneer and fry till the gravy thickens.
Kadai Paneer
Adjust red chillies and black pepper to your taste.
Finely chopped ginger and garlic can be replaced with ginger garlic paste.
If tomato paste is not available, blanch one ripe tomato and grind it into smooth paste.
