Yields: 2 Servings
Ingredients:
Chana Dal | Kadalai paruppu | 1/2 Cup |
Oil | 2 tsp |
Cloves | 1 |
Cinnamon stick 2 cm | 1 |
Cardamom | 1 |
Red Chilly | 2 |
Green Chilly | 1 |
Ginger finely chopped | 1 tsp |
Turmeric powder | 1/4 tsp |
Salt | As needed |
Shredded coconut | 2 tsp |
Instructions:
- Wash and soak chana dal for 1 hour. Pressure cook for 4 to 5 whistles.
- Heat Oil in a pan. Add cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, green chilly, red chilly and finely chopped ginger. Fry till raw smell goes off. Add cooked chana dal .
- Add turmeric powder, salt and and 1/4 cup of water. Cook for 5 mins. Switch off the stove and garnish with shredded coconut.
