Cantaloupe Cooler for Summer
Cantaloupe is rich source of Vitamin A and beta-carotene. It is also known as Musk Melon. Mulam Pazham or Kirni Pazham in Tamil. It is called Kharabooja in Hindi. Cantaloupe has lot of medicinal benefits. The best way to select this fruit is by smelling the fruit. It should have sweet and musky smell. Also check for the rind color. The rind color should be yellow or cream colored. I remember my grandma mixes palm jaggery and cantaloupe pieces and serve it for snacks during summer season.  Most of the time I use this fruit in my fruit salad. But this time, I tried Cantaloupe cooler for my kids. They both loved it a lot. Cantaloupe Cooler is prepared by blending fresh Cantaloupe, sugar, lemon juice and ginger. Cantaloupe Cooler

Ingredients:
Cantaloupe Pieces : 2 Cups
Sugar : 2 tbsp
Lemon Juice : 2 tsp
Ginger chopped : 1 tsp

Instructions:
Wash and Cut the cantaloupe fruit into 2 halves. Remove the seeds in center.  Cut the cantaloupe into small cubes.

Finely chop ginger and extract 2 tsp lemon juice. Add cantaloupe pieces, sugar and ginger in blender. If needed add some cold water and blend it well. Mix lemon juice and serve it with or without ice cubes.
