If you are really bored of eating idli with sambar, then try this vengaya kosu. It is a spicy coconut based recipe from Chettinad. It comes in hand when there are no vegetables in the house. Last Sunday we went for a brunch to an Indian Restaurant in bay area. Usually that restaurant serves lot of North Indian items. But luckily this time, there were lot of South Indian items. I found one of the interesting and spicy recipe -Chettinad potato fry. It is an excellent side dish to Sambar Rice and Curd Rice. It also go well with Chappati/ Roti. Chettinad Muttai Kuzhambu                                        Egg is rich source of proteins. Mutttai Kuzhambu is a south indian masala gravy prepared by cooking egg in authentic indian spices. It can be served as a side dish to rice, idly, dosa or chappathi.  Freshly ground spicy masala is prepared and added to kuzhambu. It can be prepared either with boiled eggs or just by breaking the eggs and adding to gravy.
