My mom is  a big fan of Mysore Masala Dosa. When she was studying in college, she went to Bangalore for Industrial visit. During that time she got a chance to taste this Mysore Masala Dosa.  I also have one more fan in my home - my little one. He loves this dosa and in order to make the red chutney less hot to suit his taste buds, I added coconut to chutney spread. Please check below for step wise instructions and pictures for preparing Mysore Masala Dosa. 

Preparation Time:     10 mins
Cook Time :                35 mins
Ready in :                   45 mins
Yields :                        4 Dosa
Mysore Masala Dosa 1

4 tsp   
Dosa batter                              
2 cups
4 tsp   
1 Cup   

  • Heat dosa tava in medium flame. When dosa tava is hot, take half cup of  dosa batter and spread evenly starting from centre. Pour 1 tsp of Oil on dosa circumference. When dosa is half cooked, spread  1 tsp of  red chutney and place 1/4 Cup of potato masala in centre of dosa. Close the dosa tava with lid. Cook for a minute. Repeat the process for remaining dosa. Enjoy masala dosa with coconut chutney and sambar.
