Paneer Bhurji

Paneer Bhurji

Paneer is  Indian cottage cheese. Paneer bhurji is a simple dry curry prepared as a side dish to chapati or roti. Paneer burji also goes well with curd rice.  I had some fresh home made paneer left after preparing paneer paratha, so prepared this quick and easy side dish for chapati. Cook Time: 10 mins 
Ready In: 15 mins 
Yields: 2 Servings
Paneer Bhurji

Paneer shredded         
1/2 Cup
2 tsp
Ginger and garlic finely chopped
1 tbsp
Onions chopped
1/4 Cup
Tomatoes chopped
1/4 Cup
capsicum chopped
1/4 cup
Green chillies slit open
coriander powder
1 tsp
chilli powder
1 tsp
Coriander leaves chopped
For Garnishing

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add finely chopped ginger,garlic and green chillies. When raw smell goes off, add onions. Fry till they turn translucent. 

  • Add chopped tomatoes and fry till they turn mushy. Add capsicum and fry for 2 mins.

  • Add  shredded paneer and fry till paneer is cooked. Add salt, coriander powder and chilli powder. Fry for 2 mins. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Adjust green chillies and chilli powder to your taste
Green chillies also can be chopped finely.
