Ingredients:
Oil | 2 tsp |
Cumin seeds | Seeragam | 1 tsp |
Chana dal | Kadalai paruppu | 1 tsp |
Urad dal | Ulutham paruppu | 1 tsp |
Curry leaves | 6 to 8 |
Red chillies | 2 |
Black pepper | Milagu | 1 tsp |
Shredded coconut | 1/2 Cup |
Tamarind | small piece |
Salt | As needed |
Instructions:
- Heat Oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and allow it to splutter. Add chana dal, urad dal, curry leaves. Fry till chana dal turns golden color. Add red chillies and black pepper.
- Add shredded coconut and fry for a min. Switch off the stove and add tamarind, salt. Grind it into coarse paste by adding little water.
Tips:
Adjust black pepper and red chillies to your taste.
