Pasalai Keerai Kuzhambu


                                                                                 Spinach  Toor Dhal curry is highly nutritious. Spinach is rich in iron. This simple south indian spinach dhal curry is prepared by grinding dhal and other spices. Then cooking spinach green leaves with grind-ed dhal.It can be taken as side dish to Rice. Yields : Side dish for Rice  for 2 people


Ingredients:
Table 1:
Toor Dhal
2 tbsp
Coconut 
2 tbsp
Garlic cloves
Shallots chopped
1/4 cup
Cumin seeds             
1/2 tsp
Curry leaves
2
Turmeric powder
1/4 tsp
Coriander seeds
1 tsp
Red chillies
1

Table 2:
Spinach leaves  chopped
1/2 bunch
Oil
1 tbsp
Mustard
1/8 tsp
Urad dhal
1/2 tsp
water
1.5 cup
Salt



Instructions:
  • Coarsely grind all the ingredients from table 1. 

  • Wash and chop spinach leaves.Heat oil in the pan and add mustard.When they splutter add green leaves and saute for 2 mins. 



  •  Add the ground mixture got from table 1. Mix well .Add 1.5 cup of water and cook it in medium flame till the raw smell goes off.
