Christmas Plum Cake | Alcohol Free Cake

Christmas Plum Cake
Baking a plum cake is my long time desire and I really love this cake a lot. Actual cake preparation starts one month before Christmas. Dry fruit and nuts are soaked in alcohol for one month. I have replaced alcohol with Orange juice. Below cake doesn't require any soaking time. Dried fruits and nuts are cooked in orange juice for few minutes before adding it to cake batter. Adapted this recipe from my dear friend Priya's Website Cook Like Priya.  Please check below for step by step instructions and pictures for preparing Indian version of alcohol free Christmas Plum Cake.

Basil Pesto Pasta
Pesto sauce is origin of Italy. It is prepared with basil, garlic, pine nuts, Olive oil and Parmesan cheese.  I have replaced pine nuts with almonds. I have also tried with walnuts. Creamy green pesto gives a nice texture and taste to the recipe. Traditionally the pesto is prepared with mortar and pestle. Basil pesto pasta is a simple, quick and healthy pasta. Biscotti means double cooked. These biscotti will be dry and can be stored for long time. Dunk this biscotti in your favourite coffee or tea and enjoy it.
