I love mangoes. If you are a regular visitor to my website, you would have noticed I have posted many Mango recipes like Mango Kesari, Mango Milkshake, Mango Kuchi ice, Eggless Mango chocochip muffins and Mango halwa Payasam is a traditional South Indian dessert. It can be served along with Lunch thali or as an dessert. Instead of preparing traditional Pasi paruppu payasam, Aval Payasam and Semiya payasam, try this mango payasam. Mango Kesari

Mango is a fleshy fruit very common in India. It is the National fruit of India. The name Mango is derived from tamil word ' Mangai' . Mango is rich in Vitamins and Folate. It is referred to as King of fruits.  In my home, we celebrate both Tamil new year and Telugu new year. It is used to prepare the pachadi for both tamil new year and telugu new year. Mango is my all time favourite. Nowadays I am finding lot of Mango pulp bottles in Indian Grocery store. Mango Halwa is a quick easy Indian sweet. Only three ingredients are needed for preparing this Mango Halwa. Mango is my all time favourite. Mangoes are rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, folate and fibre. As a kid, I love kuchi ice - Popsicle. Popsicle are easy to make and perfect for summer. I have already prepared Red grapes Popsicle and my family loved it a lot. This time I tried with Mangoes. Only two main ingredients are needed for preparing mango popsicle - Mango pulp and sweetened condensed milk. Mango is national fruit of India. English word 'Mango' is derived from tamil word 'Mangai'. Mango along with jackfruit and banana is considered as Mukkani(Maa- Pala- Vazhai) in South India. These three fruits are offered to God for Tamil New Year. Mango also find a special place during telugu new year also.
