Last week we shifted to new house. I was quite busy with unpacking and arranging things. So couldn't concentrate in Nalabagam. Today I am sharing an authentic recipe from Tamil Nadu - Vendakkai Mandi.  Lady's finger is rich in dietary fibers, minerals and vitamins. It is a low calorie vegetable and one of the suggested vegetable for weight reduction. Mandi is nothing, but water got by washing rice. Vendakkai Kadhi | Okra Kadhi

Kadhi is a yogurt based dish from India. Chickpea flour is usually added in the preparation of Kadhi in North India. I have replaced chickpea flour with chana dal | Kadalai paruppu. Also added shredded coconut to this Kadhi. It can be served with rice or roti. Use sour home-made curd for preparing Kadhi. My mom's Vendakkai Puli Kuzhambu is my all time favourite. It goes well with rice, Idli and dosa. Whenever she makes this Kuzhambu, I usually eat it for my breakfast, lunch and dinner.
